God Loves Haiti

Something that has been on my mind hard since it happened is the remarks that Pat Robertson made about Haiti. He stated that because Haiti made a pact with the devil centuries ago, that they were subject to the destruction of the earthquake.
God is a loving God, and He does NOT judge the sins of our fathers against us. Ezekiel 18:20 is proof of this.
I have not personally uncovered any pact with the devil from Haiti's past, but I do know that there are Christians living there. There are also people who practice Voo Doo, however I believe that judgement will happen when Christ returns, and He has not returned yet to judge Haiti, or anyone else.
For whatever reason Haiti is gong through these devastations, I do not know, but it is clear to my heart that God in fact is pouring His love out to them through the outpouring of the people of the whole world. Whether it be in the form of money, volunteering, or prayer, God is pouring His love out to Haiti throug the people of the world.
I pray that Pat Robertson sees his hardness in his heart, and remembers that God does not punish us for our father's sins, and I pray that he sees just how much God is loving Haiti with all of His might, from every corner of the Earth! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

John 15:16, 17

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
These things I command you, that you love one another."

These verses are so beautiful to me. Think about it, the fact that God loves you, and not only loves you, but He appointed you to bear fruit for Him! Something inside every person that believes in Jesus, made Him choose us! I really can be overtaken by this thought, but this is the love of God!
Jesus says that our fruit should remain, and I believe that means that when we bear fruit for God, showing His love to others and sharing the Good News with people, we will have rewards that will remain, in Heaven.
Jesus commands that we love one another, and as Christians, it is so important for us to bear fruit for God, by being kind, caring and considerate, instead of impatient, rude and dismissive towards people.
Too many times I encounter people that have been treated so badly in life, that they don't even know how to accept kindness from people. I think that is terribly sad. Not only for the countless suffering people, but that Christ died to make being reconciled to God easier, and so many don't even know it.
My prayer for all who read this is that they will realize the immense love God has for them, that He chose them and has appointed them to bear fruit. I pray that we all will cling to Jesus and abide in His love, showing love and kindness in a darkened world, so desperate for love. In Jesus Name, Amen!

2 Corinthians 1:5

At first glance, it may seem as if this verse is saying that we will suffer like Christ did, and this can be scary!
What I believe is that this verse is telling us that just as Jesus was ridiculed by unbelievers and just as He was tempted by Satan, so will we be.
God knew what he was doing when He sent Christ to save us. He knew that Jesus would live the pure and sinless life that man cannot live. He also knew what comfort we needed, because sin caused so much hurt in our lives.
Hebrews 2:18 confirms this, and says that because He was tempted and overcame sin, He can comfort us, because He knows what we are going through.
1 Peter 5:9 also reminds us that other believers experience the same trials as each other, and we are able to comfort each other, just as Jesus comforts us!
What an amazing love God has for us, that He would send Jesus to save us from the wages of sin, to die the death we deserved to die, just so that we can be saved and comforted!
My prayer for all who read this is that they would know in their hearts that Jesus knows their pain, and understands them. I pray that when we see someone that needs comfort, that we will give them comfort, because we all go through the same things, and just as God comforts us, we can comfort each other! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Matthew 9:13

Jesus is telling us in this verse to learn what it means when God says 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice'.
The people were so set in trying to follow the Law, that they had become hardened towards each other. Instead of having mercy on those that could not follow the law, they condemned them and judged them.
God is more interested in how we treat each other, than if we can keep the Law. He already knows it is impossible for us to keep the laws, and thatis why He sent Jesus to die for our sins. He desires that just like He is with us, that we be merciful to each other.
Jesus was being ridiculed for being in the company of sinners, people that the Pharisees had condemned, but Jesus was showing them mercy, inviting them into His arms and offering those people salvation, that were cast out and considered unworthy.
The truth of the matter is that God loves us all equally, and He desires that we have a merciful attitude towards others, especially those that are oppressed and hurt.
Sometimes we look at what people have done and label them as hopeless. What God can do through people is not limited to our human abilities, and all He wants is for us to have a merciful attitude towards all of His creation.
My prayer for all who read this is that they begin to see people as God sees them, and not for their sins. I pray that we can have a spirit of mercy for everyone, and not forget that just as God shows us mercy, we too can choose to be merciful to others! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Luke 6:35-36

Jesus says in these verses to love your enemies, do good, and give without expecting anything in return, and we will not only be rewarded for it, but will be sons and daughters of God.
Giving to our enemies is not something we would think of doing, first thought. That's because we are human, but thanks be to God for His love and mercy!
Just as God is merciful to the unthankful and evil, we too must be merciful to those that wrong us.
To give mercy to our enemies is what God wants, because as we sinned against Him, He showed mercy to us, and God is teaching us the true nature of love.
My prayer for all who read this is that they will always remember that God loves them and is merciful to them, and to love as God does, means we need to be kind to those who are hurtful, and as we learn how to do this, I pray that we all become more like God and how He loves! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Never Removed

Isaiah 54:10~ For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, Who has mercy on you.

I cannot tell you in words the immense love from God that I feel from this verse, but it is so beautiful, it is beyond words.
All things in this world are going to pass away, and what will never ever leave us, is God's love, kindness and mercy!
Sometimes we feel we have done something so terrible, that we take Jesus' job of judgement upon ourselves and we then, in turn, block God's love from our hearts.
I know our generation of humans is deficient in receiving God's love, and Satan has devised may ways to make us feel unloved.
It is my life goal to help people realize the great love from God, and the Bible says that God's gifts and calling cannot be taken away! (Romans 11:29)
The true Good Message is this, God loved you long before you were even born, and because of His love and mercy, and the fact that He wants to be merciful, He wants to save you from sin and death, and give you eternal life with Him.
He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins, so that we would be considered righteous before God, and God raised Jesus, so that we too can be raised up to His Kingdom, when Jesus returns.
All God requires to receive this precious eternal gift is to believe in Him, to love Him, and believe that Jesus was born on earth to save man, and He died on the cross, was raised from the dead three days later, and ascended to Heaven to be with God until His enemies are beneath His footstool, and Christ returns. That's it! He just wants your love and trust, and whether He gets it or not, He loves you!
Through Jesus, we are saved, and that is the Good News to all, and my prayer is that all who read this seek out God's love in a whole new way, and they begin to see just how loving our God is, that anyone who would just believe in Jesus, will be saved! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Romans 13:8

Romans 13:8~ Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another fulfills the law.

I think it's important to note that this verse tells us to owe others love. We are to owe nothing but love, and I believe this verse is urging us to have the desire to love others, but also to have a state of mind that we owe it to them.
All too many times we have an "I don't owe you anything" sort of attitude towards others. Either because we feel the person didn't do anything to deserve our love, or we simply don't think we need to care about others, unless it benefits us in some way.
This is not the walking in love kind of attitude we should have. We can thank and praise Jesus that He didn't just say "I don't owe these sinners anything, why should I die?", instead He freely gave His love to us, and asks we do the same.
As Christians, we shouldbe walking in love and showing God's love at all times, for you never know who you may be witness to, and who may turn their life to god by your obedient showing of love.
When we walk in love towards all people, we are then fulfilling God's law, instead of trying to learn rules, and be discouraged when you can't follow them, follow God's way, for He made a better way through Jesus. Instead, learn what walking in love is, and make your mind up that you will be a blessing to all that come into your path.
My prayer for all who read this is that they have a heart of outpouring love towards others, and that they will treat everyone with respect and consideration, as if they have done something to deserve it, even if they haven't. I also pray that they ask God everyday for Huis grace to bless those He puts in your path, everyday. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
