We all suffer trials and tribulations in this world. Often times we are left to wonder why we must suffer such things, but as children of God, we can know that God will work it out for our good, in some beautiful way.
These verses tell us that one of the things that happens when we go through hard times is we will be comforted! God wants to comfort us, and He wants us to come to Him when we need comforted.
God will put people into our lives that understand our pain, and they will comfort and console us.
We rarely think about the pain that person went through to help us, we are usually too grateful for the compassion to think about it, but that person also felt as you do, and God sent someone to comfort them, so they could comfort you!
God doesn't want us to suffer, but He also doesn't want things to happen to us that we can't gain something out of it.
When we go through hard times, we must ask God for comfort. He may send it through someone else who has suffered, or just between you and Him, through the Holy Spirit. When we are comforted and healed, we then sympathize with others who suffer the same trials.
Verse 7 is so important to me! I have been told many times that I am blind to reality when I tell someone that things will work out for them. I 'look on the brightside too much in a dark world', however that is not true! We are to have steadfast hope for each other, because we know that God is the God of comfort and love, and no matter what trials I face, I KNOW He will work it out to be a blessing!
My prayer for all who read this is that when they are facing trials, that they remember that they won't last forever, and that they feel the comfort that can only come through the love of God! In Christ's precious and powerful name, Amen!
