The Parable Of The Mustard Seed

Matthew 13:31-32 talks about the parable of the Mustard Seed.
When we accept Christ as our Saviour, it is like the mustard seed being planted and as we water the seed with Living Water from God's Word, the plant grows. As it grows, birds notice it and make a nest and find life in the tree.
I find it amazing how Jesus would use a weed as an example. A weed is often overlooked as important, or not noticed till it gets bigger. And being the humans we are, it usually takes something big to get our attention. And also, like most people's attitude towards God, people despise weeds.
I think it's important to note that birds found a life in that mustard plant. Just like when we grow our love for Jesus and we share His love with others, they will be attracted to the tree, and find life in it.
It is also important to note that the birds found life in the tree, but the branch also helps hold it up from falling. This is a beautiful example ofhow others find life in God's Kingdom, but as Christians, we are branches of that tree and help support each other from falling.
My prayer for all who read this is that they realize that they are a branch in God's tree, and we all support each other, as we grow together in God's love. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
