Romans 3:23

I would like to talk about something that has been heavy on my spirit recently.
With all of the news coverage of Tiger Wood's marital affairs, it has made me feel compassion for him as he struggles through this hard time.
Compassion you might ask, but yes, compassion.
Recently I have asked God to show me the world through His eyes and to give me a heart like His when I see the world. I believe that this compassion for Tiger is a part of the answer to my prayer.
Why have compassion for him when he hurt his wife's feelings by being in another relationship, numerous in fact?
The truth of the matter is that none of us are any better than Tiger, Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The beautiful thing about it is that God loves us so much that He gave us a way to be reconciled to Him, through believing in Christ.
Instead of gossiping about Tiger, and judging him for what he has done, as Christians we are to pray for him to be healed from his pains and that he will turn to God for healing.
I truly do feel bad for his wife and her feelings must be shattered, and as I think about how we all fall short of God's glory, I am reminded that I am not any better than anyone else, and God loves Tiger just as much as someone who hasn't cheated on their spouse.
I would like to mention that as Christians it is our duty to keep from any bad talking about anyone, and I Thessalonians 4:11 even tells us that we should mind our own business, we have plenty in our own lives to keep straight, to be worrying about the problems someone else is having, and spreading it around like it's nothing.
My prayer for all who read this is that they ask God to see the world through His eyes, and that they would be sensitive to other's feelings. Rather than gossiping about someone's problems, that they would instead say a prayer for them. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
