Living Water

The verses I am referencing today are John 4:13-14, 35-38, however I encourage you to read the whole story of the Samaritan woman, and how Living Water flowed from her to her people in John 4:6-42.

The disciples had left Jesus by Jacob's well, so that the could go get some food for Him.

The well was near Samaria, and one of the women had come to the well for water. He talked to the woman, revealing that she had five husbands, and astonished her that He knew these things.

He told her that He could give her living water, that it would spring up into everlasting life.

Jesus stirs up such a bubbling feeling of love, I HAVE to share it, it just bubbles over and fills the lives of those around me. This is what Living Water does, and when we share Christ's love with others, we are giving them some of that living water too!

Jesus told the disciples in verses 35-38 that the harvest is ripe and that they were sent out to reap something that they didn't sow or work for, and that is how we must live our lives as well. We should realize that Christ already did the labor, He did the hard part and died for the sins of all! All He wants us to do is share that Good News with others, and that Living water will continue to bubble and flow on.

Just as that Samaritan woman went and told her people what Jesus did for her, that is what we should do. When they saw her excitement, they sought after Jesus, and He made them believe in Him.

I think it is also important to remember only God turns the ears of others, we only share with them and God will take care of the rest, we have obligation to pray for others, but we can never make anyone do anything. Just remain a steady example of what Jesus does for you, and that will be more han enough to show them what they're missing!

James 1:17 says that all good things come from God, so share with others all of the good things God has done for you, and share the Living Water with them!

I would just like to add, it has been a blessing to me to serve you in encouragement. I know these messages have been sent around, and perhaps I don't even know your name, but take it from my heart, that it has been truly a blessing to me, so thank you for sending and sharing with others, God bless!
