Colossians 3:23 tells us that no matter what we do, we should do it with an attitude of joy. We should be doing things as if they are all for God, because, they are all done before Him.
So many times this verse changed my attitude from a selfish one, to one of a loving and giving spirit.
God wants us to do things with integrity. He wants us to be a good example to others.
The next time you have to do something and you really don't want to, I encourage you to do it for God, and take an initiative to do the best you can for Him, and you will begin to feel a difference in your spirit!
Romans 12:11 also says we should never lag in zeal, and we should do everything in service to God.
Just because we don't want to do something, doesn't mean we have to have a bad attitude about doing it. When we begin to do things for God, rather than to satisfy our own wants and desires, then real changes will happen in our lives, and in those around us.
My prayer for all who read this is that they take on a whole new attitude in serving others. That they experience the comfort and peace that is found in serving the Lord and blessing others. In Jesus Name, Amen!
