The Word Of God

The power of God's Word is truly indescribable. Without it, we cannot have a close relationship with Him, and we have so much power in our hands, if we would just use it.

John 1:1 tells us that the Word always was with God, and in Revelation 19:13 it tells that Jesus' name is called The Word Of God. God created all things with His word, His mighty Words.

Proverbs 30:5 tells us that every word from God is pure, Hebrews 4:12 says that it is living and powerful.

When we apply God's Word to our lives, we are applying God's power into our lives. It is capable of bringing down attacks from Satan, for comfort, guidance and encouragement. Everything you will ever need to know for life, is in God's Word!

At some point in our lives as Christians, we have heard the Word of God and it caused a stirring inside, a need to know God, and through those spoken words, we were brought back to God, and lead to salvation. I Peter 1:22-23 talks about this.

The power in God's Word is limitless, and we need to get His word in our hearts, so we are equipped to handle anything in life.

Matthew 24:35 says His word will never pass away, and so we can always lean on His word for help! God is truly amazing!

2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that all scripture was insired by God, and it can be used for correction and I believe it is the most important weapon we have against Satan.

Psalm 119:9 tells us that we cleanse our ways with His word, and verse 11 says to learn His Word so that we do not sin against Him.

The more I involve myself in His Word, the more of His love I feel. It becomes an addiction to be in His presence, and my prayer for all who read this is that they seek this peace for themselves, and that they feel the privilege that God has given us by giving us His Word.

The custom in biblical times was to go to the synagogue to hear scriptures read on the Sabbath Day, as in Luke 4:16, and how blessed are we that we can immerse ourselves in His Goodness anytime we want to!

Take up your sword of Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), and fight Satan's attacks with success!
