A Call Home

The more I feel God's love, the more I want to share it with others, and so, I want to share a little bit about me, and what God has done for me.
I always wanted to help others, and make them feel good about themselves, but was socially challenged, and I really didn't know how to interact with people. I felt like it was something bad about me that must make it hard for others to understand me.
I was 8 years old when I accepted Christ as my Savior, but never really understood His love for me until recent years. I didn't feel accepted in anything, so I ended up making some bad choices in my life, causing many hurts along the way. Though I didn't turn to God at that time, He was always there.
I always wanted to be that person that I knew God wanted me to be, but I wasn't seeing what I was doing wrong.
I believed Christ died for me, but I didn't know what His promises included, and I never let myself feel His love, I let Satan's lie that I was a bad person, keep me from the liberation that God gives us.
One day God opened my eyes, and showed me through His Word that I am a new creature when I have Christ (Ephesians 4:21-24) , that I don't have to be a slave to Satan's lie that I was socially challenged, that with Christ I CAN be a blessing to others, and not only that, He made me to be a blessing to others!
Nothing can compare to the healing that God gives to people. When you have just had enough of what life brings you, and you feel like you just can't do it, God is there, waiting for you to come to Him. He wants you to choose Him, and let me tell you, once you do choose Him, your life will never be the same, and your wildest imagination couldn't think up the things God can do through you!
So what has changed for my life? I am no longer debilitated by OCD, and depression, I have confidence in who I am enough to minister to the hearts of not only people I know, but to people I have never met. I have confidence that no matter how bad the road looks ahead, I have God keeping me in His grip the whole way through.
Bad things that have happened to me, God makes them turn out to my good. When my family was shreds from falling apart, devastation all around, He took it and made my family closer, and He showed His glory through one of the hardest times of my life.
One of the most famous scriptures is John 3:16, but I also cherish the next verse, because God sent His Son to die for us, and we don't have to feel like we aren't any good, or that we will never be happy, because God loves us so much, He sent Jesus to save us.
There is no greater comfort, than the comfort God gives, and all He asks in return is that we believe in Him, and we believe that Jesus died for our sins, and He was raised on the third day, and when we love Him and wait for His return, we will have everlasting life wth Him in His Kingdom!
If you have never prayed for Jesus to be your Savior, and to come live in your heart, then I urge you to pray the prayer at the end of this note, and invite Jesus to change your hurts into blessings.
Dear Jesus,I believe that you died on the cross, so that I can have eternal life with you, and I ask that you come into my heart and be my Savior. I am a sinner, and I believe through your sacrifice, I am forgiven. I love You, Jesus, In Jesus' Name, Amen.
