This verse is so encouraging to me, and has been one that brings me joy and comfort very much.
This verse is a special promise to those who worship and revere God. It promises that Jesus, The Sun Of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings, and we shall go forth and gambol like calves being released from the stall.
Everytime I read this, it brings me joy, in fact it brings a smile to my face to imagine myself hopping around like a happy calf.
I have seen calves playing, and it does give one a sense of no worries in the world. God promises to heal us, and make our spirits so happy and light that we will be jumping for joy.
Perhaps we can't jump for joy all of the time, but when I am down, I just read this verse and ask God to send The Sun of Righteousness to heal my hurt, and make me glad again.
God wants us to cast our cares on Him, and He wants us to always remember He loves us, and wants us to be happy, not depressed and down.
It is a victory over Satan to be able to be happy though times are hard. We as Christians have the honor of having God's peace through any hardship. We can rejoice because God is going to make any hard time work for our good.
My prayer for all who read this is that they can feel like calves just released from the stall, that they feel release from the lies Satan tells us, that we have to be miserable. I pray that
they realize just how much God loves them, and cares about them. In Jesus' Precious Name, Amen!
